Kid Pix Deluxe 3D App Reviews
I just paid 50 dollars for an app that doest even start. When I try to launch It told me it could not find a resource and I should retry launching it. After a dozen retrys it launched only to tell me it cant run on my Macbook Pro because it requires a resolution of 800X600 or higher. What? I am already running much higher than 800X600, so I told it to change it, and it states it cant run because my computer monitor can not be configured to work with Kid Pix, so if you are looking at buying this wait till they fix it. I am very dissapointed.
Works perfect!
I run Mac OS X, works perfect! My 7 yr old was able to create her own 3D movie within 15 minutes. Great product
grat app
My 9 year old daughter and my 11 year old son love this program they think it was the greatist program(coloring) they ever saw ang we love the 3D
We upgraded from KidPix 3 Deluxe, and the kids (ages 4, 6 and 9) prefer this one and enjoy the movie feature. However, overall its not much different from 3 Deluxe and they dont complain when using that one on the old PowerPC mac. Highly recommended.
Awesome app for kids and Parents
I spend a lot of time with my kids doing crazy videos with this app. Congratulations for the developers
I feel cheated! Im a teacher, so I am working with a limited budget. What a waste spending $50 on this! I bought this version of Kid Pix thinking it would have a lot of new content, but it doesnt. It has all the same stuff as the old version, and just a few new things like a few couple of 3Dish backgrounds. If you already own an old version of Kid Pix, save your money. in fact, I want mine back!
I had the trial version, and liked it enough to get the full version. When I bought it from the app store, and tried to launch it, it still says my trial version has expired, and I have to buy it again from their online store. Dont buy it until theyve got this sorted out. Edit: After contacting customer service, they recommended uninstalling, restarting my computer, then reinstalling from the app store. This worked out well, so this is no longer a problem!
I remember playing with Kid Pix on black and white MACS years ago…..I thought it was wonderful. However, this Kid Pix is AWESOME. Even as an adult, I enjoy it just as much as my kids do! My kids love it…I have to pry them off the computer when they are playing this, lol. Yes, its $50 and it seems like a lot for a computer app but once you get it, you know why it costs so much. Its freaking amazing. Worth the money!!!
While there is a way to import a photo of your child & place them in a spacesuit or indian outfit, etc and there is a way to animate that outfit, there is no way to animate your childs picture that appears within that outfit. So, you can "fly" the spacesuit around but you cannot "fly" your childs picture that is placed with in it along with the outfit. Also, there is no way to send a layer to the back or to the front so your child has to know what they want before they start laying up their picture. There is also no tutorials and no way to contact the company with any questions like this you may have. So far, we dont find it is worth the hefty price tag. Yes, it has the potential to do good things there are too many of these small details that frustrate a creative child enough to give up on their project.
I am so happy to finally see Kid Pix in 3D! I originally had the 2D version for PC and now Im thrilled to see it on the Mac - in eye-popping, beautiful 3D!!!! So far, I havent found anything wrong with the software. Keep up the good work! :)
I Loved It!!!!
I thought that the app was amazing. When I showed it to my children, they loved it too.
not updated for X.11
I love KidPix, well, I used to. It would not download to my X.11 Mac, so it is worthless to me. It needs an update - immediately!!!
